Don’t be fooled: screenings more important than ever!

Recently, the American Cancer Society issued a statement on the risks and benefits of screening for breast and prostate cancers. (See here for details). Is colon cancer screening still necessary? Without a doubt, the answer is YES—more than ever!

Colon cancer screening saves lives. The guidelines for colon cancer screening have not been changed In fact, screening is the ONLY way to make sure that colon cancer is 100% preventable!

Please read this statement from the American Cancer Society CEO John Seffrin about the continued importance of screenings, and make sure to pass it along to your friends and family. While you’re at it, please remind them to contact their doctors to schedule a screening themselves!
